Observations and Anecdotal Information
Buddha wood leaves were used by indigenous peoples of Australia, in ceremonies for cleansing and preparing the newborn for life as a human being; for the transition from boyhood into manhood; and the leaves of buddha wood were used to line the grave and shroud the body before burial. It is safe to say that buddha wood is one of their most revered and sacred herbs.
Its anti-bacterial properties were known and used by indigenous peoples to treat cuts wounds, and sores. Buddha wood essential oil has been tested and found to be effective against E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium, and Candida albicans. It improves sleep and meditation.
Buddhawood essential oil can be diffused to overcome environmental toxicity, and to enhance one’s mood, dispel anxiety and relieve depression and tension.
