Observations and Anecdotal Information
Pomegranate seed is very high in nutrients. Pound for pound, it contains high levels of vitamin C, folate, vitamin K, and potassium. It is extremely high in anti-oxidants, with over 3 times more anti-oxidant activity than green tea or red wine.
It also contains a linoleic acid called punicic acid, which is highly anti-inflammatory, and responsible for its anti-inflammatory effects. Some studies have shown that it can reduce inflammatory activity in breast cancer, colon cancer, and digestive tract issues.
This cold-pressed oil is a wonderful carrier oil for massage blends, heart and cardiovascular blends, and arthritis and pain blends.
Pomegranate seed oil contains powerful anti-oxidants that help maintain skin elasticity to prevent premature aging skin and wrinkles. It helps acne, tones and tightens skin, and reduces pore size. It makes a wonderful addition to cremes, oil blends, and lotions for regenerating aging skin.
